Mended the old oak bench and planted lillies, gladioli, spinach, peas and courgettes in our Dorset garden today. Cut down the Gelder rose which had mysteriously died over winter. Sophie planted a bargain Hydrangea, potted up a perennial sweet pea and clematis and planted some freebie hand me down plants from our Welsh garden. Cut back the Cornus. Weeded lots. First signs of growth from the dahlias in the greenhouse!
